When we say that we will provide you with legal representation in your personal injury claim on a No Win No Fee basis, we are saying that we will speculate your claim. If I obtain compensation, will you take all my compensation to pay your legal fees?<\/span><\/h2>\n

When we speak to clients about bringing a No Win No Fee personal injury claim, they are often concerned that if we do achieve compensation for them,\u00a0then our legal fees will be such that they will\u00a0end up with very little\u00a0from their compensation payment, or,\u00a0even more concerning, they\u00a0could end up owing us something.<\/p>\n

This cannot happen in Queensland because there is a specific law in place under the Legal Profession Act 2007<\/em>\u00a0<\/a>that protects clients from this very thing happening.\u00a0 The law in question is called “the 50\/50 Rule<\/em><\/span>“.<\/p>\n

The 50\/50 Rule in a personal injury claim<\/span><\/h3>\n

Pursuant to the 50\/50 Rule, when we obtain compensation for your claim,\u00a0even if our legal costs are more than the compensation we obtain for you, we have to reduce our legal fees so that we\u00a0are always compliant with the 50\/50 Rule. This means that you will always receive a majority of your damages from your injury compensation.<\/p>\n
